Abstract:Double-air-cladding Tm 3? -doped silica fiber with a large core is fabricated by stacking capillaries method. By the excitation at 1064 nm, the optical properties of this fiber doped with 0.1 mol% Tm 3? are studied. The blue and near-infrared emissions around 473 and 793 nm are experimentally observed. In addition, the up-conversion mechanism of Tm 3? in glass is investigated. The results show that the Tm 3? -doped fiber with a large core can be used as the potential optical material for the high power fiber l… Show more
The inherent conflict between the near-infrared plateau of green plants and the absorption of a 1064 nm laser highlights the need for developing green spectral simulative materials with effective laser...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
