Abstract: SummaryOsteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCFs) have gradually evolved into a serious health care problem globally. In order to reduce the morbidity of OVCF patients and improve their life quality, two minimally invasive surgery procedures, vertebroplasty (VP) and balloon kyphoplasty (BKP), have been developed.
