Bone transplantation in orthopaedic surgery

Abstract: Osteons are the basic units of bone tissue. Four types of bone cells are responsible for building the bone matrix, maintaining it and remodeling the bone. Those are osteoprogenitor cells, osteoblasts, osteocytes, and osteoclasts.
