In cases where little toxicity information exists on a specific herbal product or its ingredients, regulatory decisions regarding risk mitigation are likely to be cautious until further information is obtained that could potentially elucidate the toxicity of herbal products and reduce the uncertainty related to risk assessments (42)(43)(44)(45).
