“…A transição do ano entre o inverno e primavera apresentou valores menores que trazem conforto às aves poedeiras tanto na parte da manhã (22,91) como na parte tarde (30,21). É de suma importância o conhecimento do microclima onde as aves ficam alojadas, segundo Dawkins (1999) e Ferrante et al (2001) o ambiente influencia fortemente no comportamento das aves, desta forma é possível identificar, quantificar e caracterizar as condições de conforto térmico e bem-estar (PEREIRA et al, 2007). Sainsbury (1971), Yousef (1985), Medeiros (2001) e Damasceno (2010) mostram que a faixa de temperatura de bulbo seco, umidade relativa e velocidade do vento devem ficar entre 21ºC e 27ºC; 50% e 70% e 0,5 ms -1 e 1,5 ms -1 para que as aves resultem em melhor desempenho animal, e os resultados verificados no estudo (Tabela 1) mostram que em todas as transições das estações do ano mantiveram os valores de conforto recomendados para as variáveis bioclimáticas avaliadas.…”

Pereira et al (2007 ) found that in the slatted flooring device, there was air motion inside the plenum among the manure and the perforated floor, and the increased air motion reduced heat stress in birds (subsequently improving the FI) which negatively impacts the welfare and performance of broilers ( Lara and Rostagno, 2013 ). The higher mortality rate on slatted floors may be related to bad immune status, lower walking behavior, and severe FPD recorded in this group.…”
