Broilerlerde Kitosan Olisakkarit İlavesinin İmmun Organlarda Hücre Siklusu Üzerine Etkileri

Abstract: The objective of this study was to investigate effects of COS on cell cycle and relative weights of thymus, bursa of fabricius (BF) and spleen in broilers. Three hundred and sixty 1-day-old healthy Arbor Acres male broilers were randomly divided into control, COS I, COS II and COS III groups, which were respectively fed with diets containing 0, 200, 350 and 500 mg/kg COS for six weeks. The results showed that the relative weights of immune organs were higher in the COS group II than those in the control group … Show more

“…Conversely, the relative weights of the spleen and BF of Cobb500 broiler chickens at day 42 were significantly (P<0.05) impacted by the addition of CHT and CHS. This correlated with the findings of Chi et al (2017), who noted that at grower phase (day 42), the relative weights of the BF, spleen, and thymus of hens supplemented with 350 mg/kg of CHS were significantly larger than those of the control unit.…”

“…This result might have been affected by the earlier publication by Ibitoye et al (2018) that the quality and purity of cricket-CHT were higher than shrimp-CHT. It is noteworthy to emphasize that variations in the ages, species, molecular weights, dosages, and durations of CHS feeding could have contributed to disparate study outcomes for the immunological organs index, according to Chi et al (2017).…”

“…Chitin and its derivatives have been found to positively impact the health status of animals. For instance, chitosan oligosaccharides (COS) supplemented to broiler diets significantly increased the relative weight of important immunological organs such as the spleen, bursa of Fabricius and thymus (Chi et al, 2017). Similar experiments with COS in broiler diets highlighted its potential to enhance IgM levels and proinflammatory cytokine expression in blood serum (Deng et al, 2008).…”
