Byotubers: active methodologies in marine environmental education for children

Abstract: The present study measured the effectiveness of educational technologies, combining the Internet and Smartphone devices used in environmental education program-guided field trips in a Brazilian coastal city public school (Guarujá-SP, Brazil). For this purpose, we organized a YouTube channel called “Byotubers.” It had 5,355 views in 24 countries and 22 uploaded videos in 9 months.
