“…In the Americas, Mexico has been one of the countries where BC mortality has increased in the last 30 years (Navarrete et al, 2018;Valle et al, 2019;Cárdenas, 2021) and whose trend has shown important geographical differences among the 32 states. Such is the case of Jalisco, one of the states with the largest population in the country, where it was recently documented that the mortality rate of BC has increased by 17% (Ramos et al, 2020), which is considerable, since this indicator is associated with diagnoses in late clinical stages (Anaya et al, 2014;Tatalovich et al, 2015;Navarrete et al, 2018;Cárdenas, 2021).
