Abstract:Colorectal cancer (CRC) is expected to cause over 50,000 deaths in 2018, making it the 3rd leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States. The cause of CRC is controlled by several factors, including environmental and genetic roles. Lynch syndrome (LS) is a genetic disorder increasing an individual's risk for developing colorectal cancer by as much as 80%. LS is frequently underdiagnosed and most often found after a CRC diagnosis.
