Avaliar após um ano de pandemia da COVID-19 a qualidade de vida, a capacidade funcional e a associação entre a qualidade de vida e capacidade funcional dos idosos que utilizam redes sociais WhatsApp, Facebook e Instagram. Pesquisa on-line realizada com 112 idosos em 2021. Foram utilizados: formulário sobre dados sociodemográficos, Escala de Katz, World Health Organization Quality of Life for Older Persons (WHOQOL-OLD) e World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF). Maioria na faixa etária de 60 a 79 anos, sexo feminino, superior completo, renda acima de R$ 5.225,00 por mês, em uso de três redes sociais diferentes. Os mais comprometidos foram o domínio psicológico 64,60 (DP=12,81) e a faceta morte e morrer 59,38 (DP=24,87). A maioria apresentava-se independente para as Atividades de Vida Diárias. Não houve associação estatisticamente significante entre os domínios do WHOQOL-BREF e as facetas do WHOQOL-OLD para os diferentes tipos de dependência.

Quality of life for the elderly after one year of the COVID-19 pandemic
Abstract: To evaluate, after one year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the quality of life, functional capacity and the association between quality of life and functional capacity of the elderly who use the social networks WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram. Online survey conducted with 112 elderly people in 2021. The following were used: form on sociodemographic data, Katz Scale, World Health Organiza-tion Quality of Life for Older Persons (WHOQOL-OLD) and World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF). Most were aged between 60 and 79 years old, female, complete higher educa-tion, income above R$ 5,225.00 per month, in use of three different social networks. The most compromised were the psychological domain 64.60 (SD=12.81) and the death and dying facet 59.38 (SD=24.87). Most were independent for Activities of Daily Living. There was no statistically signifi-cant association between the WHOQOL-BREF domains and the WHOQOL-OLD facets for the differ-ent types of dependence.

Calidad de vida de las personas mayores tras un año de la pandemia de COVID-19
Resumen: Evaluar, después de un año de la pandemia de COVID-19, la calidad de vida, la capacidad funcional y la asociación entre calidad de vida y la capacidad funcional de los adultos mayores que utilizan las redes sociales WhatsApp, Facebook e Instagram. Encuesta en línea realizada a 112 adultos mayores en 2021. Se utilizaron: formulario sobre datos sociodemográficos, Escala de Katz, World Health Or-ganization Quality of Life for Older Persons (WHOQOL-OLD) y World Health Organization Quality of Life (WHOQOL-BREF). Mayoría entre 60 y 79 años, sexo femenino, educación superior completa, ingresos superiores a R$ 5.225,00 por mes, en uso de tres diferentes redes sociales. Los más com-prometidos fueron el dominio psicológico 64,60 (DE=12,81) y la faceta muerte y morir 59,38 (DE=24,87). La mayoría eran independientes para las Actividades de la Vida Diaria. No hubo asocia-ción estadísticamente significativa entre los dominios de WHOQOL-BREF y las facetas de WHOQOL-OLD para los diferentes tipos de dependencia.
