Abstract: A sub-bacia hidrográfica do rio Salgado, afluente da Bacia do rio Jaguaribe, estásituada na porção sudeste do Estado do Ceará, e drena todo o Vale do Cariri,região diferenciada em meio ao semiárido nordestino devido à perenidade damaioria de seus cursos d’água, constituindo as veias do Cariri cearense.
