Caracterização Geoquímica Preliminar Dos Granitóides Aflorantes Nas Vizinhanças Do Batólito Pinhal-Ipuiúna (Sp-Mg)

Abstract: PRELIMINARY GEOCHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION OF GRANITOIDS OUTCROP-PING NEXT TO THE PINHAL-IPUIÚNA BATHOLITH (SP-MG) Three groups of granitic rocks outcropping in the neihbourhood of the calc-alkaline Pinhal-Ipuiúna batholith. (BPI) were considered genetically and/or temporally unrelated to the main body of the batholith on the basis of field and petrographic criteria. They correspond to porphyritic biotite monzogranites and granodiorites, equigranular to inequigranular anatectic granites ("Pinhal-type granites") … Show more

“…The Ca contents of both remaining types are low when compared with other granite types, e.g. associated calc-alkaline suites (e.g., Janasi 1996, Haddad et al 1996, which further emphasizes the contrast.…”

“…In contrast to the SJRP granitoids, in which they are locally intrusive, the Pinhal-type granites are commonly only slightly foliated. Their modal compositions concentrate in the monzogranite field, although some syenogranites are also found, especially among the ligther facies (Haddad et al 1996). The textures are panxenomorphic, with subhedral to anhedral oligoclase and perthitic microcline plus abundant quartz as felsic and brownish biotite as the sole main mafic mineral.…”
