Carboxy Derivative of Dioxydiphenylpropane Diglycidyl Ether Monomethacrylate as an Additive for Composites

Abstract: Abstract.1 Carboxy derivative of dioxydiphenylpropane diglycidyl ether monomethacrylate (CDE) containing the fragment of dianic epoxy resin, as well as free carboxy and methacrylic groups has been studied as a component of epoxy-oligoesteric and bitumen-polymeric mixtures. The epoxy-oligoesteric mixtures were investigated using ED-20 dianic epoxy resin, the crosslinking of which was carried out in the presence of polyethylene polyamine. Physico-mechanical properties and chemical stability of the coatings based… Show more

“…Over the past few years, the researchers of the Department of Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Processing at Lviv Polytechnic National University (Ukraine) have been working on the creation of new oligomeric products containing functional groups [4][5][6][7][8]. Such oligomer products are studied as additives to bitumen.…”

“…Recently, at the Department of Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Processing at Lviv Polytechnic National University, new bitumen modifiers have been developed based on petroleum [11][12][13], phenolformaldehyde [14][15][16], epoxy [16] and coumarone-indene resins without [17][18] and with functional groups [19][20][21][22]. The most promising results were obtained for coumarone-indene resins with functional groups, since they are produced from a light fraction of coal tar, which is available and low cost by-product of coal coking.…”

“…Over the past few years, the researchers of the Department of Chemical Technology of Oil and Gas Processing at Lviv Polytechnic National University have been conducting studies on the possibility of using petroleum [6][7][8], phenol formaldehyde [9] and epoxy [10] resins as polymeric additives. A particular attention should be paid to petroleum resins, because they are synthesized from liquid by-products obtained after hydrocarbon raw materials pyrolysis with the aim of ethylene production [11][12][13].…”
