Cembranoids From the Leaves of Nicotiana tabacum and Their Neuroprotective Activities

Abstract: A new cembrane-type diterpenoid (1) and 9 known cembranoids (2-10) were isolated from the leaves of Nicotiana tabacum. The structure of the new metabolite was confirmed by extensive analyses of their spectroscopic data, including high-resolution electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS), 1D- and 2D nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy, and infrared spectroscopy (IR).
