Abstract:Patients with human immunodeficiency virus infection are at an increased risk of acquiring multiple sexually transmitted diseases. Establishing a cytological diagnosis of multiple viral infections on cervical cytology may be challenging due to its relative rarity as well as a lack of familiarity with the characteristic cytological features. Herein, we describe the cytological features of dual human papillomavirus and herpes simplex virus on a liquid‐based cytology cervical preparation.
