CFD Study of Drag and Lift of Sepak Takraw Ball at Different Face Orientations

Abstract: There have been a significant number of researches on computational fluid dynamic (CFD) analysis of balls used in sports such as golf balls, tennis balls, and soccer balls. Sepak takraw is a high speed court game predominantly played in Southeast Asia using mainly the legs and head. The sepak takraw ball is unique because it is not enclosed and made of woven plastic. “…Hasil tersebut dapat dikarenakan beberapa faktor antara lain: (1) kurang memadainya sarana dan prasarana yang ada; (2) jadwal ektrakurikuler yang diadakan sore hari sedangkan pada pagi harinya siswa juga melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran, sehingga mengalami kelelahan; (3) kurang adanya dukungan dari pihak lain yang terkait dengan ektrakurikuler sepakraw dan (4) kurangnya variasi latihan yang menyebabkan siswa bosan dalam melakukan latihan. Artinya dari penelitian ini jika melihat kriteria yang diutarakan pendukung diatas bahwa ada sebanyak 6 siswa yang layak untuk mengikuti perlombaan dengan 2 di antaranya sangat layak untuk mengikuti karena memiliki skor tertinggi diantara skor yang lainnya, dan terdapat 7 siswa atau sebesar 31,82% yang mengikuti esktrakurikuler sepak takraw yang mempunyai predikat sedang atau bahkan kurang.…”
