There are many IT issues and challenges in management including Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Emerging Technology, Big Data Analytics, BYOD (Bring Your Own Devices) and BYOA (Bring Your Own Applications), Shadow IT, Boomers (a transient worker) , Interoperability, User Systems, Energy Efficiency, Creating Value, Social Networks and so on. In this paper, we highlight three challenges: Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Social Networks. Over the last few years Cloud Computing, Virtualization and Social Networks have become modern trends in the information technology space that increase the accessibility and flexibility for the users around the globe. Cloud Computing offers faster innovation, flexible resources and economies of scale, whereas Virtualization deals with better control on IT resources like applications, wide area networks, local area networks, servers, desktops, storage and appliances like firewalls and application delivery controllers. Social Network defines an online service platform where users are able to build relationships with each other by message, posting information, images etc. Despite the success of cloud computing, virtualization and social networks face tremendous challenges such as downtime, vulnerability to attack and limited control in cloud computing, backup and resource distribution in virtualization, security and privacy threats in social networks that are preventing management of organizations from accepting these techniques. This paper gives an overview of these technologies and identifies the different technical challenges and proposes suitable directions to resolve them. In addition, we separately focus on features, types, and myriad benefits of these technologies and discuss solutions that can protect users from these issues. We then present findings, future direction and discuss some techniques to overcome these challenges.

Cloud momentum seems unstoppable in Nigeria, as businesses and organizations in the country see less and less advantage in the slog of maintaining their infrastructure. The shift to the cloud in today's COVID-19 driven world has created an opportunity for investments to improve local cloud computing services. However, there are key challenges that must be addressed by the local cloud service providers in the country in order not to lose out to the foreign cloud service providers. This paper assessed the challenges to local cloud computing services adoption among sixty-seven (67) businesses and organizations in Nigeria. The research employed a non-probability purposive sampling approach. The surveyed data were obtained through an online form which was distributed via Linkedln. Descriptive and inferential analysis was used in analyzing the collected data via IBM SPSS software. Findings from the research showed the key challenges to include inadequate awareness of local cloud service vendors, poor innovation and local content, inadequate cloud infrastructure, local cloud vendor interoperability issue, national insecurity, shortages in skilled personnel, Service Level Agreement (SLA), security strategies, privacy, compliance terms, and requirements issues. Thus, adequate local cloud service offerings, skilled personnel, and the IT infrastructural backbone of the country have to be well established to increase the trust in local cloud computing, open up Nigeria to offshore markets while driving economic competitiveness and growth.

In the last few years, cloud computing (CC) has grown from being a promising business concept to one of the fastest growing segments of the IT industry. Many businesses including small, medium (SMEs) and large enterprises are migrating to this technology. The objective of this paper was to describe the opinions of enterprises about the benefits and challenges of cloud computing services in the private and public companies in South Lebanon. During 2019, a cross-sectional study which enrolled 29 enterprises used CC was conducted. The survey included questions on socio-demographic characteristics of representative of companies, and companies' factors in reference to the technology, organization, and environment (TOE) framework. Most (58.6%) of companies were private and micro and SMEs sized (86.8%). The cost saving (75.0%), scalability and flexibility (75.9%), security (44.8%), and improved service delivery were the main benefits that cloud offer to the business. The security aspect, the cost, and the limited provision of infrastructure remain a challenge for the adoption of CC. In conclusion, the research reveals the potential for the development of CC and obstacles for successful implementation of this new technology.
