Changes in oncogene expression in ascite tumour cells during ageing

Abstract: The expression of two oncogenes, c-myc and c-fos, was studied in an ascitic tumour (ATPC+) at different times after implantation. The specific mRNA synthesis was analysed by Northern blot analysis. The presence of the oncogene proteins was shown by immunofluorescence using flow cytometry and referred to the distribution of the cells in the different cell phases.
