Changes in serum phosphorous level during inpatient treatment of children with severe acute malnutrition

Abstract: Background: SAM children have increased requirements for phosphorus during recovery. If requirements are not met, they may develop refeeding hypophosphatemia leading to increased morbidity and mortality.
