Characteristic, Levels of lead in the blood, and hypertension of Workers Batteries Home Industry at Talun Village Sukodadi District Lamongan Regency

Abstract: Lead  (Pb) is one  of the pollutants  that can cause hypertension. The objectives of this study  were  to analyze characteristic, levels  of Lead (Pb) in blood  and hypertension at home industry workers  batteries.  This research was an observational descriptive studies and used cross-sectional approach. “…Paparan timbal merupakan ancaman yang sangat berbahaya bagi kesehatan manusia karena bersifat toksik terhadap manusia baik yang masuk ke dalam tubuh lewat inhalasi, saluran pernapasan, maupun penetrasi lewat kulit. Timbal yang masuk ke dalam tubuh normalnya 0,3 µg/dL per hari, jika pemasukan timbal dalam tubuh sebanyak 2,5 µg/dL per hari maka butuh waktu 3 sampai 6 tahun untuk mendapatkan efek toksik, sedangkan apabila pemasukan timbal 3,5 µg/dL per hari maka butuh waktu hanya beberapa bulan saja untuk terakumulasinya timbal dalam tubuh (Fibrianti & Azizah, 2016 Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 20 responden diperoleh kelompok yang memiliki rerata kadar Pb tertinggi yaitu kelompok tingkat pendidikan SMA sebanyak 13 orang (11,5 µg/dL) dengan rerata kadar Hb normal. Dari penelitian ini diketahui tidak ada hubungan antara kadar timbal dan kadar Hb terhadap tingkat pendidikan (p>0,05) (Lampiran 5).…”
