“…In this regard, the conjugated semiconducting polymers such as poly (3-hexyl thiophene) (P3-HT), 21,22 polystyrene sulfonate (PEDOT: PSS) 14,23,24 and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) 11,12,25 have been identified as primary materials for optoelectronic microdevice applications. In addition, several smart polymeric composites have also been prepared by blending these conducting polymers with biocompatible functional co-polymers for tuning the electronic conductivity, 26,27 mechanical flexibility, 28,29 and thermal stability 7,30 in thin-film structures.
