Chemical composition and biological activity of aerial parts of Salvia verticillata L. growing in Georgia

Abstract: A study of the chemical composition of the essential oil obtained from the aerial parts of Salvia verticillata L., growing in Georgia, was carried out. The percentage of dominant components was determined by internal integration, the dominant component in the essential oil obtained from the leaves is caryophyllene (10.15 %), spathulenol (9.8 %), valeranone (11.9 %), and in the essential oil obtained from the flowers, germacrene D (17.2 %), caryophyllene (9.43 %).
