Chemical ionization mass spectrometry with amines as reactant gases. VIII—amine chemical ionization mass spectrometry of some steroids

Abstract: The chemical ionization ma= spectra of different groups of steroids (sterols, dihydroxy sterols, epoxy sterols and epidioxy sterols) were investigated. Triethylamine, diethylamine, ethylenediamioe, methylamine aod ammonia were used as reactant gases. The possibilities of establishing the relative molecular masses and some structural nod stereochemical features of different steroids are discussed.
