Chemical Synthesis of 1′-Deoxy-1′-fluorosucrose

Abstract: The first chemical synthesis of 1'-deoxy-1'-fluorosucrose has been accomplished in eight steps from sucrose by an unlikely, but ultimately successful, SN2 displacement reaction.
