Abstract

1,6-Conjugate Addition to o-Vinylphenyloxazolines, Syntheses of Chuangxinol and 3-n-Butylphthalide.-Some phthalides of type (III) are synthesized in a one-pot reaction from vinyl compounds (I) by 1,6-conjugate addition of alkyllithium, trapping of the benzylic anion with the molybdenum reagent and following hydrolysis.
