ChemInform Abstract: C‐Acylation of p‐Acetotoluidide in Presence of Polyphosphoric Acid.

Abstract: N‐Acetyl p‐toluidine (I) reacts with acetic anhydride (II) in the presence of polyphosphoric acid to produce the isomeric acetaminoacetophenones (III) and (IV).
