Abstract: Eine Reaktion von Phenanthrenchinon (I) mit dem Thiodiglykolat (II) in methanolischem KOH liefert die Dihydroxyperhydrothiophendicarbonsäure (III), die bei 130°C oder unter der Einwirkung′ von Acetanhydxid in Pyridin glatt in die Thiophendicarbonsäure (IV) übergeht.
