“…Compared to the “top-down” method, the “bottom-up” approach is more attractive for harvesting CDs from a variety of molecular precursors through chemical synthesis or carbonization. Methods include chemical or thermal oxidation of suitable chemical precursors, ultrasonic treatment of alkaline oracidic aqueous solutions of glucose and microwave pyrolysis of carbohydrates 19 20 21 22 23 .…”

“…The CdSe QDs follows first order kinetics while degrading the coloured compounds such as basic violet 16, Basic Blue 41 and Acid Blue 92.The starch doped CdSe QDs photodecolourize 80 % of malachite green and methylene green within three minutes in the ratio of 1:1000 catalyst and dye using MCR-ALS technique. This photo catalyst does not aggregate even after a long period of time due to the large number of hydroxyl group in complex carbohydrate [39]. The N-GQDs doped into TiO2 increases the decolourization performance of methylene blue to 85% due to the excitation and transfer of electrons from N-GQDs to TiO2 which forms oxygen and hydroxyl free radicals that oxidize the dye [40].…”

“…[68][69][70][71][72][73][74][75] We employed MCR-ALS analysis to investigate the presence of intermediate nanorods species with distinct morphology and spectral characteristics during glutathioneinduced transverse overgrowth on Au NRs. In particular, when the spectroscopic data are coupled to multivariate curve resolution analysis it would be possible to decrypt useful information about the morphology variation as well as kinetic of process.…”
