Chroman-4-one and pyrano[4,3-b]chromenone derivatives from the mangrove endophytic fungus Diaporthe phaseolorum SKS019

Abstract: Seven new compounds: diaporchromanones A–D (1–4), (−)-phomopsichin A (5a), (+)-phomopsichin B (6a), and (±)-diaporchromone A (7), along with the known (+)-phomopsichin A (5b) and (−)-phomopsichin B (6b) were isolated from an endophytic fungus Diaporthe phaseolorum SKS019.

“…ilicifolius , including four new compounds, (−)-phomopsichin A ( 249 ), (+)-phomopsichin B ( 250 ), diaporchromanones C ( 251 ) and D ( 252 ), along with two known compounds, (+)-phomopsichin A ( 35 ) and (−)-phomopsichin B ( 36 ). These metabolites showed moderate inhibition on osteoclastogenesis by inhibiting RANKL-induced NF-κB activation [ 128 ]. Pestalotiopsones F ( 40 ) and B ( 253 ) were isolated from Diaporthe sp.…”

“…105 Another D. phaseolorum SKS019 was the source of chromones, including diaporchromanones A–D ( 174–177 ), (−)-phomopsichin A ( 178 ), (+)-phomopsichin B ( 179 ), and (±)-diaporchromone A ( 180 ), of which 176–179 exhibited moderate inhibitory effects with IC 50 values from 28 to 46 μM, in contrast to the positive control (JSH-23, IC 50 = 10.8 μM), on osteoclastogenesis by suppressing the receptor activator of NF-κB by ligand-induced NF-κB activation. 106 Several Penicillium strains yielded four new chromones 181–184 . 107–109 Three new chromones 185–187 were isolated from the mangrove-derived fungus Daldinia eschscholtzii HJ004.…”
