“…It is important to mention that after X-or gamma irradiation the dose-response curves obtained are similar to those obtained with specific locus mutations (Batchelor et al, 1967;Russell, 1962;Searle and Phillips, 1967). The comparison between the mutation rates of neutron and gamma irradiation based on linear dose-effect dependence amounts to an RBE of 6.6, which is similar to values reported by other authors (Domshlak et al, 1970;Matsuda et al, 1987;Muramatsu et al, 1973;Searle et al, 1969;Valentin, 1975).
