“…Selective IgM deficiency is recognized as occurring in association with coeliac disease (Asquith et al, 1969) and other protein-losing enteropathies, acute and chronic meningococcal septicaemia (Hobbs et al, 1967a;Fass and Saslaw, 1972;Jones et al, 1973), in atopic individuals (Kaufman and Hobbs, 1970), and as a familial condition (Hobbs et al, 1967a;Jones et al, 1973).
