CI-867, a new broad-spectrum semisynthetic penicillin.

Abstract: The synthesis and antimicrobial activity of a new semisynthetic penicillin are described. Both in vitro and in vivo, the compound shows promising antibacterial activity when compared with piperacillin and ticarcillin.
