“…This condition is considered a very rare cause of infantile airway obstruction, with a recorded incidence of between 1.5 and 1.8 cases per 100,000 newborns [11][12][13]. The lack of diagnosis of laryngeal cysts in these cases is associated with a mortality rate of up to 40% due to the possibility of airway obstruction [14][15][16]. Lateral neck radiography assists in visualizing most cysts, but it is not used as the primary tool since computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are capable of providing better details regarding the size and precise boundaries of the lesions.…”
