Cladribine modifies functional properties of microglia

Abstract: Background: Cladribine (CdA), an oral prodrug approved for the treatment of relapsing multiple sclerosis, selectively depletes lymphocytes. CdA passes the blood-brain barrier suggesting a potential effect on CNS resident cells.
