In September 2024, a meeting of the Expert Council took place, featuring leading specialists in the fields of allergology, pediatrics, and dermatology. The working group discussed the issue of seasonal exacerbations of atopic dermatitis (AD), as well as the main triggering factors and their role. Experts reviewed the criteria that a modern emollient used for the care of patients with atopic dermatitis should meet; they discussed the role of moisturizers in preventing seasonal exacerbations of atopic dermatitis based on previously conducted studies. Suggestions were made for further informational and organizational activities aimed at expanding the knowledge of patients and doctors about seasonal environmental factors significant for patients with AD, their impact on the condition of the epidermal barrier, their role in the development of seasonal exacerbations, and the possibilities for prevention using modern emollients.
