For instance, the histopathological diagnosis of malignant melanoma in India during a period of 5 years showed that 93.4% of the cases were cutaneous melanoma, whereas only 6.6% non-cutaneous melanoma were characterized in conjunctiva, anorectum, gingiva-buccal sulcus, vagina, palate, and the nasal cavity [20].
