Cluster and DEMATEL Analysis of Key RFID Implementation Factors Across Different Organizational Strategies

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to explore the critical success factor of radio frequency identification (RFID) implementation and to establish a relationship between critical success factor of RFID and organizational strategies. This article uses DEMATEL (Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) and cluster analysis technique to identify the complex relationship between RFID implementation critical success factors (ICSFs) and organizational strategies. The result indicates that extrinsic critical success… Show more

“…The RFID application has attributes similar to CSF7 and other useful areas related to tracking of products in logistics and sales. The use of RFID and GPS systems is advantageous for efficient cold chains (Yan and Lee, 2009; Vishvakarma et al , 2020). The other IT-related factors which are essential to consider are ERP devices, SAP and wireless sensors (WNS).…”

“…DEMATEL technique is used to analyze the causal relationships among various complex factors (Sharma et al, 2020; Singh & Acharya, 2014; Singh et al, 2020a; Vishwakarma et al, 2019). It is a comprehensive method for constructing and analyzing a structural model of the causal relationships between the complex and numerous factors (Singh et al, 2020b).…”

“…Although ISM and TISM identify the structural relationships among the enablers, they do not provide any idea about the strength of the relationships (Sufiyan et al, 2019). The strength of the relationships can be evaluated using the DEMATEL method (Biswas & Gupta, 2019; Khan et al, 2018a; Vishvakarma et al, 2019). However, the conventional DEMATEL method has some limitations regarding the subjectivity and impreciseness of experts’ inputs.…”
