“…The Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopic (FT-IR) spectra (Waltham, MA, USA) of GO is shown in Figure 1 . The results confirmed that the oxygen functional groups of –OH, –COOH, and –O– were found on the surface of GO, as supported by the new absorption peaks of GO at 3390 cm −1 (–OH), 1731 cm −1 (–COOH), and 1384 and 1094 cm −1 (–O–), respectively [ 10 , 11 ]. These oxygen-containing groups were chemically grafted onto the graphite surface.…”

“…Recently, some researchers have noticed that the utilization of hybrids of carbon nanomaterials, and predominantly the combination of CNTs with GO, can give interesting outcomes. Li et al [118] reported that the increases in the bending strength of cement due to incorporating hybrids with 0.50 wt.% CNTs and 1.50 wt.% GO were about 40% and 200% compared to the values from adding only CNTs (0.50 wt.%) and GO (1.50 wt.%), respectively. As shown in Figure 10, Lu et al [119] reported an increase of about 21% in the compressive strength and 24% increment in the flexural strength of OPC when a hybrid of 0.025 wt.% CNTs and 0.025 wt.% GO was added.…”

“…[9][10][11][12] Based on existing research, the introduction of GO could increase the flexural strength, tensile strength, compressive strength and transport properties of cement. [13][14][15][16][17] Whereas, GO has the negative influence on the fluidity of cement. 18,19 Certainly, fluidity is an important property of cement; the good fluidity was the premise of workability and pumpability in actual using process.…”
