Collaboration quality assessment for sustainable supply chains: benchmarking

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to propose an instrument to evaluate the collaboration quality of sustainable supply chains by considering collaboration behaviour and sustainability factors. Design/methodology/approach The proposed model integrates Quality Function Deployment (QFD), Fuzzy Analytical Network Process (FANP) and Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) to assess the efficiency score of each stakeholder involved. A case of a sugar company in Indonesia was analysed as the illustration of the applicat… Show more

“…The success of a supply chain depends on the collaboration and performance of each entity in the supply chain. Commitment, trust and coordination are the major factors responsible for the collaboration among the supply chain partners (Dania et al , 2019). For improving the performance of SSC, Asian et al (2019) recommended focusing on the service performance and customer satisfaction.…”

“…Moreover, the integration between QFD, FANP and the DEA has the ability to do an in-depth analysis on the factors that need to be improved in collaboration and to specify the way to enhance collaboration quality in partial and in general. In sum, this method is able to produce more comprehensive results than similar assessment methods (Dania et al , 2019a).…”

“…Once the input and output factors were figured out, the next stage was to calculate the efficiency score for each DMU by applying the variable return of scale (VRS) DEA output oriented with standardised variable proposed by Dania et al (2019). Since environmental impacts also took a part of the assessment, the output was classified into desirable and undesirable outputs.…”
