This research is motivated by the importance of sustainable tourism aspects in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which countries around the world have adopted this concept. This study is focused on Tourism Objects in South Kalimantan Province as a tourism destination in Indonesia. The method used in this research is an empirical study method with a quantitative approach. The technique used is a proportional sample with the help of the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) program which is operated through the SmartPLS program. This study uses the formula Hair, et.al., (1995) with the provisions of 5 x 43 item parameters times the number of research questionnaires, namely 215 research samples. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. The research hypothesis was tested using the Partial Least Square (PLS) based Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach. Society participation, Tourism Social Entrepreneurship, Destination Governance and Innovation have a significant effect on Sustainable Tourism. Furthermore, Society participation, Tourism Social Entrepreneurship, Destination Governance have a significant effect on Innovation. And Innovation mediates the relationship between Society participation, Tourism Social Entrepreneurship, and Destination Governance towards Sustainable Tourism. This study is expected to provide a better understanding of how innovation can be an important factor in achieving sustainable tourism in South Kalimantan.

“…Salah satunya yaitu Provinsi Jawa Tengah, dengan topografi yang sangat potensial membuat provinsi Jawa Tengah memiliki keberagaman baik alam maupun budaya, dimana unsur tersebutlah yang membuat Jawa Tengah banyak dikunjungi wisatawan. Jumlah pariwisata di Jawa Tengah sendiri berjumlah 317 obyek wisata pada tahun 2015 yang tersebar di seluruh Kota/Kabupaten yang ada di Jawa Tengah (Pusdatin Kemenpar, 2015) Dalam membangun sektor pariwisata, peran dan fungsi pemerintah hanya sebagai regulasi dan fasilitator, maka dari itu salah satu faktor yang mendukung berkembangnya suatu pariwisata adalah keterlibatan dan partisipasi masayarakat lokal dalam proses pengembangan pariwisata tersebut, adapun keterlibatan masyarakat dilakukan secara sukareal berdasarakan kesadaran sehingga pariwisata tersebut terjaga keberlanjutannya (Warouw et al, 2018). Obyek Wisata Sipare merupakan obyek wisata yang terletak di Desa Pedawang yang menyajikan keindahan alam seperti sungai, perkebunan pinus serta persawahan. Obyek wisata ini terbilang masih baru, sehingga perlu adanya pengembangan dan pengelolaan yang baik agar kedepannya obyek wisata Sipare dapat menarik wisatawan yang lebih luas lagi. Maka dari itu perlu adanya partisipasi dari masyarakat sekitar, dikarenakan masyarakat lokal mengerti akan kondisi dan situasi yang ada di obyek wisata Sipare. Dalam melakukan penelitian ini dibantu oleh Pokdarwis desa Pedawang. Metode penelitian menggunakan kualitatif deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Pedawang dengan informan yaitu warga Desa Pedawang. Jenis data yang dianalisis berasal dari hasil observasi dan wawancara yang merupakan data primer dan data sekunder yang berasal dari data-data yang relevan dengan penelitian ini. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dan disajikan berupa data persentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa partisipasi tertinggi yang dilakukan oleh masyarkat yaitu partisipasi memberikan tenaga dan ide, sedangkan partisipasi dalam memberikan materil sangat kecil yang dikarenakan masyarakat sendiri lebih mengutamakan kebutuhan keluarganya terlebih dahulu ketimbang memberikan sumbangan untuk pengelolaan obyek wisata Sipare. Hasil penelitian ini dapat digunakan untuk evaluasi pengelola obyek wisata Sipare agar dapat memaksimalkan lagi peran masyarakat dalam pengelolaan, serta dapat memberikan gambaran kepada pemerintah setempat agar dapat lebih memperhatikan lagi obyek wisata Sipare ini.

This paper examines how stakeholder engagement and communication had been used to identify and manage stakeholders in the development of sustainable tourism. Stakeholder engagement is a way to build relationship with stakeholders that emphasizes two-way communication to achieve intended outcomes. The study used qualitative research method. In this study, primary and secondary stakeholders were identified through analysis of their level of interest and influence. Later, the form of engagement and communication was determined for every stakeholder. Through this process, a forum that based on two-way communication was formed and consisted of relevant stakeholders. This forum helped identify supporting and challenging factors in developing sustainable tourism in Indonesia. Some programs that combine social, economic and environment factors were constructed to build a sustainable tourist destination.One of the challenges is how to change the mindset of villagers or local people of the benefit of turning their village as tourist destination whilst preserving the nature and local wisdom.
