Comparative Analysis of Intelligent Controller Based MPPT for Photovoltaic System with Super Lift Boost Converter

Abstract: In recent years, the electrical energy demand increases gradually and the power generation does not meet the demand due to lack of fossil fuel and environmental issues. The only solution is to use renewable energy sources for generating electricity and meet the consumers demand. In this paper, photovoltaic power system analyses their performance under various weather conditions. The objective of this paper is comparing the different intelligent controllers such as Fuzzy, ANFIS and Hybrid Fuzzy & Firefly Algori… Show more

“…The steady state voltage gain of a power electronic converter can be obtained using the fundamental volt second balance method applied to the voltage across the inductor or by using the state space model [23][24][25]. These studies help to get an insight into the open loop characteristics of the converters and also help to design closed loop controllers as well.…”

“…There is a need for a versatile power conversion system that can efficiently adjust the variable or fixed input DC voltage to the required value, especially in the context of solar energy. While conventional converters such as Boost, Buck or Buck-Boost configurations have been widely used, they come with significant drawbacks [5][6][7][8]. These include pulsating input and output power, high switching losses, fabrication costs, and rating restrictions.…”

“…The main obstacle in the development of solar power plants is the investment cost of the photovoltaic system. Besides that, because the efficiency of solar power plants is very low in the range of 9 -17% in areas with low irradiation [2]. In addition to low irradiation, the efficiency of the photovoltaic system is also influenced by environmental factors such as temperature, solar radiation illumination, humidity and the inappropriate position of the photovoltaic module to the earth [3].…”
