Any organization that will develop software is faced with a difficult choice of choosing the right software development method. Whereas the software development methods used, play a significant role in the overall software development process. Software development methods are needed so that the software development process can be systematic so that it is not only completed within the right time frame but also must have good quality. There are various methods of software development in System Development Lyfe Cycle (SDLC). Each SDLC method provides a general guiding line about different software development and has different characteristics. Each method of software development has its drawbacks and advantages so that the selection of software development methods should be compatible with the capacity of the software developed. This paper will compare three different software development methods: V-Shaped Model, Parallel Development Model, and Iterative Model with the aim of providing an understanding of software developers to choose the right method. Abstract-This paper presents the integration of Short Message Service Application Programming Interface in a Web-Based Student Support Services System for a university would facilitate two-way communication between the students, faculty and other stakeholders. It aims to keep in contact with students and deliver significant information arising from the University using the system's SMS facility offering auto-reply feature. Based on the survey, the respondents highly accepted the developed system. Thus, utilizing it as an alternative to the university's existing media of communication would enable the system users to avail of an effective and convenient manner of getting information from the university anytime. The manner of disseminating would become speedy, timely, and appropriate. Furthermore, using the system in an academe would result to paperless capturing, speedy recording and filing of students' records; standardized format of academic-related forms, timely dissemination and receipt of academic-related information through SMS; and production of accurate reports.Index Terms-Web-based student support services system, student support services, short message service, application programming interface, SMS-API.

- This work is concerned with the development of a browser for computer based examination platforms. It focused on trends and mostly used browsers for online computer based examination and carried out a critical review of the browsers used for current computer based test system employed in Nigeria Universities. An alternative application to provide solutions to the current challenges identified in the existing system was then developed. The new application was designed using the Extreme programming methodology and implemented using Microsoft Visual Basic on a Windows 7 system. We created user-friendly interfaces driven by the Visual Basic codes. The application has amongst other features, disabled access to control box of the browser window and the Alt + F4 button as shortcut in closing browsers
