Comparing Physico-Chemical Properties of Oil Fields of Nigeria and Ukraine

Abstract: Abstract. 1 The problem of crude oil deficit for Ukrainian refineries has been considered. To solve this problem the import of crude from Nigeria has been proposed. Physicochemical properties of Nigerian oils, namely their fractional composition, potential yield of light fractions were investigated and compared with physico-chemical characteristics of Ukrainian crude oils. The possibility of Nigerian oils processing at JSC "Ukrtatnafta" (Ukraine) was grounded.

“…The essence of the method is the chromatographic separation of oil and product hydrocarbons on a high-performance capillary column, followed by the registration of peaks by a flame-ionization detector. The gas chromatograph NR 7890 with flame ionization detector and Simdis software were used [17].…”

“…This treatment was more inhibitory to biodegradation of bonny light crude oil when compared with treatments 3, 5, and 6, which contained other single metals. According to Babatunde et al (2017), The concentrations of Manganese was not detected in bonny light crude oil while the concentrations of Nickel, Copper and Lead in bonny light crude oil were 3.18, 0.08 and 0.1 ppm, respectively. The bottom line is Mn at a concentration of 0.05 ppm reduces the extent of biodegradation of petroleum hydrocarbon in bonny light crude oil.…”

“…Суть методу полягає в хроматографічному розділенні вуглеводнів нафти і нафтопродуктів на високоефективній капілярній колоні з подальшою реєстрацією піків полум'яно-іонізаційним детектором. Використано газовий хроматографи НР 7890 з детектором іонізації у полум'ї (ПІД) і з програмним комплексом Simdis [8].…”
