Comparison of low-energy resonances in15N(α,γ)19F and

Abstract: A disagreement between two determinations of Γ α of the astrophysically relevant level at E x =4.378 MeV in 19 F has been stated in two recent papers by Wilmes et al. and de Oliveira et al. In this work the uncertainties of both papers are discussed in detail, and we adopt the value Γ α = (1.5 +1.5 −0.8 )×10

“…To compare Eqs. (40) and (43) we calculate them both at the surface, R N = 5 fm, as has been done in other studies of mirror symmetry in the 19 F-19 Ne resonances [18,19]. The ratio R 0 /R θ is plotted in state with l α = 2, where a 10% increase in the ratio of mirror widths can be seen.…”

“…Refined values were later published by Fortune [21], see Table 1. Canton et al [26] objected that θ 2 do not necessary scale with the single-particle widths, especially when the θ 2 is small [27].…”

“…Equation (3) is typically fulfilled for states with a strong α-cluster component in the wave function (i.e., for a large value of θ 2 α ), whereas significant discrepancies have been found for mirror states with very small θ 2 α values [20]. Here we follow the procedure for estimating Γ α in 22 Mg that was outlined in Ref.…”
