“…Several investigations have compared hypotensive effects of latanoprost, timolol, and carbonic anhydrase inhibitors as adjunctive therapy. [20][21][22][23][24][25][26][27] Latanoprost produced a significantly greater reduction compared with b-blockers and carbonic anhydrase inhibitors in all available data except one, in which Alm et al showed that adding latanoprost to the eyes treated with timolol provide a reduction of 2.6 -1.1 mmHg (13%), whereas adding timolol to the eyes receiving latanoprost resulted in a reduction of 2.6 -2.2 mmHg (14%). 20,21 There were several studies comparing the efficacy of b-blockers and topical carbonic anhydrase inhibitors in multiple drug treatment.…”

“…Miura et al [12] investigated the ocular hypotensive effect of brinzolamide and timolol when added to latanoprost in 32 patients with primary open-angle glaucoma, normal-tension glaucoma, or ocular hypertension, over a 12-week period. The results of their study showed a The table shows the number of adverse events (N) registered in each of the study groups, as well as the number (n) and percentage (%) of patients reporting them within these groups.…”
