“…A number of studies performed in adult patients have demonstrated that mizolastine is effective and well-tolerated in the short and long term treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis with its additional effect on nasal blockage [128][129][130]. In comparative trials of mizolastine with other antihistamines, mizolastine was found to be at least as effective as cetirizine in the treatment of SAR [131], and had greater efficacy than loratadine in the treatment of PAR [132]. There are several studies evaluating the short and long term efficacy of mizolastine in CIU performed in adult patients showing that mizolastine 10 mg daily significantly reduced pruritis, main symptoms of urticaria without subsensitivity or tolerance to its therapeutic effects compared to placebo [133][134][135].…”
