Comparison of topical anesthesia and subcutaneous infiltration anesthesia with regard to effect of plasma skin regeneration system

Abstract: The plasma skin regeneration (PSR) system is a safe device for skin regeneration, which is usually carried out under local anesthetic to control the pain. Topical anesthesia and subcutaneous infiltration anesthesia are the common and safe anesthetizations. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effects of PSR after using topical anesthetization as compared with subcutaneous infiltration anesthesia, thereby inquiring into the effect of subcutaneous infiltration anesthesia in PSR and increasing electivity for… Show more

“…Histological analysis of liver tissue showed that no changes occurred in the hepatic structures. Our results are consistent with preclinical data from other lidocaine formulations [26,31] and align with other preclinical data we have previously obtained in our laboratory by encapsulating analgesics in similar manners [13,24]. The new CX001 compound is an innovative compound with good pre-clinical characteristics regarding both safety and efficacy.…”

“…In the experiment performed by Ji et al, compared to topical anesthesia, subcutaneous infiltration anesthesia showed a wider range of tissue effects when used on the skin. It stimulates the tissue to generate new, thicker collagen fiber from the necrosis during the treatment of the plasma skin regeneration system, while topical anesthesia will reduce both skin necrosis and the collage fiber regeneration [16]. One explanation for this might be that when injecting subcutaneously, the agent slightly lifts the tissue, loosens the tissue structure, and further provokes the fibroblasts to generate more collagen fiber.…”

“…Aesthetic outcome in patients' demand for cosmetic treatments have been influenced by some parameters such as clinical improvement after procedures, risk and potential complications, and downtime periods [1,2] . These parameters could validate plasma technology as a new regenerative modality.…”
