Abstract: Germinal matrix hemorrhage (GMH) is a pathology that occurs in infancy, with often devastating long-term consequences. Posthemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PHH) can develop acutely, while periventricular leukomalacia (PVL) is a chronic sequala. There are no pharmacological therapies to treat PHH and PVL.
