“…If fertility is compromised by this procedure or any maternal complication or fetal abnormality is reported in the literature, obstetricians should be prohibited from using uterine artery ligation to treat postpartum hemorrhage. However, the potential complications of laparoscopic uterine artery occlusion, including ureter injury, intestinal injury, and others, cannot be discounted completely, although the incidence was low in two reports (30,31), and no major acute or delayed surgical complications occurred in either group of patients in this study.…”

“…More recently, however, there has been a renewed interest in removal of the myoma alone, that is, myomectomy. Uterine preservation has focused attention not only on myomectomy but also on myolysis, embolization, and surgical uterine artery occlusion (1). To date, there have not been significant data about pregnancy outcomes after surgical occlusion or embolization of the uterine artery.…”

“…LUAO with bipolar coagulation was added to the patients who did not respond to MTX at the beginning of the procedure, and vasopressin was used if necessary. Successful artery dissection was performed as previously described [6]. Then, the bladder was dissected off the lower uterine segment of the uterus, exposing the bulging part of the gestational mass.…”
