Composition and rheological characteristics of plaster mixtures

Abstract: The applying of local building materials is an effective contribution to the savings of mineral resources, which are used for the production of basic building materials. Clay and gypsum compositions are the local raw materials in many regions of the country and some neighboring countries. The article discusses the method for determining the clay fraction in the clay and gypsum composition, as well as the method for assessing the rheological characteristics of the plaster mixtures for interior work based on cla… Show more

“…Complex systems have already become one of the traditional ways of introducing interior decorating. Regardless of the type of cladding used, interiors use less often lime, and more often gypsum, plaster coatings, which the main operational requirement is good adhesion to the base and the absence of negative effects on the indoor environment [1][2][3]. According to the criteria for the organization of work, the application technology is important.…”

“…1). The resins are cured either by temperature exposure, by the introduction of special components, or by catalytic reaction with calcium sulfate [14][15][16]. As a result, the porosity of the gypsum stone decreases and the density increases, which is an obstacle to the water penetration into the gypsum matrix.…”

“…Complete systems have already become one of the traditional ways of introducing interior finishing works. Regardless of the type of cladding used, in interiors, less often lime, and more often gypsum plaster coatings are used, the main operational requirement for which is good adhesion to the base and the absence of negative effects on the internal environment of the premises [1][2][3]. According to the criteria for the organization of work, the manufacturability of the application is important.…”
